Scholarships, Bursaries and Discounts
Pupils who are direct descendants to Old Cerdics receive a 10% discount for their entire time at Chard Prep School.
We provide scholarship opportunities for academic subjects, sport and the arts.
Means tested bursaries are available.
Sibling discounts:
6% for the first sibling
10% for the second sibling

Lunch (Early years and Reception) - £3.25 a day
Lunch (Years 1 to 6) - £3.75 a day
Swimming (All years) - £28.00 a term
Membership of the Old Cerdic Association (Years 3 to 6) £5.00 a term (passed on to the Old Cerdic Association)
Before and after school care
Before school 8.00-8.45am - no charge
After school clubs 3.45-4.30pm - no charge****
Prep homework club 3.45-4.30pm - no charge
Pre-Prep club 3.45-4.30pm - no charge
Late after school club 4.30-5.30pm - £5.75 per part or whole session
****Some external coaches may charge an extra fee. Details can be obtained from the School Office.

Termly Fees
The Governors maintain the overall fees at a competitive level. This is of public benefit and has meant that the education provided by the school is much more widely available than other local independent schools.

Year 6 (Upper Cerdic) £3,600 per term
Year 5 (Lower Cerdic) £3,450 per term
Year 4 (Harris) £3,300 per term
Year 3 (Wyndham) £3,150 per term
Year 2 (Monmouth) £2,690 per term
Year 1 (Horner) £2,690 per term
Reception** (Symes) £2,570 per term

**Early Years Entitlement available. All 3 and 4 year olds, from the term after they are 3, are eligible for Early Years Funding. Please note that our fees are inclusive of additional services, which other Early Years establishments may not offer. Up to 30 funded hours per week are available.
